Okay guys, today I want to share something really cool with you. I inherited a lot of drawing/painting stuff from my ancestors, the oldest original drawing being from 1865. The most stuff I have is from my great-grandfather, lots of original drawings/paintings, sketch books, even paint, quills and other utensils. He lived until the 1960s. In his sketchbooks he mostly did landscapes, flowers and humans, but today I discovered something he did in his earlier years, to be precise: in 1903.

I became an aunt today. :heart: Never had a soft spot for babies, but my heart is filled with joy. I'm seeing my brother and his wife and their little Paula tomorrow. I'm going to be an awesome aunt! :D

Das ist unfassbar toll und unbezahlbar! Leider gehen in vielen Familien gerade solche Sachen oftmals verloren. Dabei sind es doch gerade Zeichnungen, Fotos etc. die Erinnerungsstücke, die den persönlichsten Einblick in das Leben der Person ermöglichen.
Ich finde die Skizzen jedenfalls sehr spannend, zumal die auch so zeitlos sind. Meine Mutter hat mit mir als Kind auch so kleine Comic-Menschen gemalt, die sehr ähnlich aussahen
